Are they? I took a quick look at the latest JOLTS survey results and it actually looks like the big increase in job openings happened in the first half of 2021 and has spent the last year flattening out

2020 6% -2% -16% -20% 16% 11% 10% -5% 3% 6% 0% 1%
2021 4% 9% 8% 9% 4% 2% 9% -1% 0% 4% -2% 5%
2022 -1% 1% 5% -1% -3% -5%
... it looks like what happened is after the big initial shock (March and April 2020) there was a big rebound (May - July 2020). Jan-July 2021 saw big, consistent growth. Since then, it's basically stagnated, but I don't know that they're worse.
You don't explain why these factors are worse now than they were a year ago.
