Thanks for inding Jason Manning on Caplow's theory of coalitions. Caplow's theory is a fantastic tool fro analysing events and organization actions in those events. Perhaps we can have a Monday seminar to discuss some current events in the context of the the theory. The Ukraine conflict comes to mind immediately as well as the relationship with government regulators and the regulated. Thanks again.

You only learn the reality of unintended consequences by living longer. You can read books on Mao's Cultural Revolution and without experience think your "woke" revolution won't have a similar unintended outcome.

Bitcoin not crypto is correct. I understand Arnold's skepticism, but things that can't go on forever stop. Fiat backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government is backed by what again? Bitcoin is the best alternative on the board right now by a longshot. The question is when the best alternative becomes mandatory and if it is still Bitcoin then. My bet is yes.

“ It is obvious that you could register titles on a computer, and make the latest entry in the database definitive.”

…only if you can 100% ensure that your system is protected from false filing/registration.

There was a title fraud case in Colorado that was discovered only because a funeral home raised a concern. These people are very smart. And no digital system is guaranteed impenetrable.

I like what you write here and yet am appalled at the links to Yarvin. Blaming the boomers is just like they blamed their parents for being PsyOp’d victims of WW II and then the WW II survivors blaming their parents for WW I, and then the WW I survivors blaming their parents and grandparents for the Civil War. It is an endless closed loop. It goes nowhere. It is a psychological Ouroboros.
