financial institutions seminar; Kurt Gray; Tyler Cowen
The financial institutions seminar’s first meeting will be February 14, at 8 PM New York time. In this session, we will cover: How does economic theory “assume away” financial institutions? Why does the private sector need banks? Why does the public sector need banks? Why do banks need the public sector? Is financial trading necessarily zero-sum?
On February 21, we will talk with Kurt Gray, co-author of The Mind Club, a book that is not well known, yet I refer to it constantly. Time will be 8:15 PM New York time.
On February 28, we will talk with Tyler Cowen. The topic will be infovorism and how he practices it. Time will be 8:15 PM New York time.
