What Andrew Sullivan, among others, doesn't get is that the Cult of Woke isn't unaware of the fact that they use the same tactics as the people they hate. They also see no irony in it because there really isn't any. The Cult of Woke doesn't object to a dictatorship per se, but rather what the dictator does. Brutal oppressive regimes are perfectly acceptable, indeed preferable, as long as they oppress the enemies of the cult. It's the ultimate expression of Utilitarianism, and incidentally the textbook example basic ethics classes give to demonstrate the problems with "The end justifies the means".

" I have been asking myself: how can we have so much intelligence around us and yet find ourselves deluged by stupidity?"

Because it's dishonesty, not stupidity. Many top Dems and many gov't deep state Dem supporters accept lies about crimes done by Dems.

Men and women are different, XY <> XX, yet many claim to believe the lie that they are the same.

Averages on many metrics are different for most races: Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Asians (incl S. Asians & E. Asians, and ME/ Arab Asians).

When the ruling elite are lying, and using gov't force to enforce the lies, like "parents are domestic terrorists if they disagree at a school board meeting", we are in a deluge. Of gov't supported crime, that kind of looks stupid.

Today's Commentary podcast is the best yet of it's "Woke, the Threat" symposium. Featuring Season One FITS player Jim Meigs, the first half covers the new information on the lies & deceptions of institutional science over Covid. The second half covers Wokism in the hard sciences. In the end, even the usually upbeat Jim Meigs admits to a pessimism over our future

Never understood why anyone would think McWhorter is a genius. He speaks well, and certainly isn't stupid, but oh, please yeah, black men would find work if we legalized drugs! That's what happened with marijuana, right?

He's like this all the time: repeats one nostrum endlessly, ignorant of data.

Perhaps more stupidity is broadcast more often to more people. I don't see any evidence there's actually more (proportionally)
